The SEO Training Refresher Course (Because You’ll Never Know It All)

Last week Christopher told you about the SEOToolSet Training dates we’ve got planned on the East Coast this year. In case you missed the first announcement, you heard me right. Bruce Clay, Inc.’s reputable white hat SEO training course will be held in New York during April, June and October. The cost of travel is often a concern these days which is why we’re excited to make the trip a little shorter for those not located within the Western half of the country.

If you haven’t already (and if not, shame on you), now’s the time to invest in Internet marketing; the Web is where your audience is, returns are highly measureable, and online marketing technology is well suited for performance-based payment models. Christopher‘s post outlined important reasons why primo SEO training is necessary for more than just the IT manager or the marketing director — the person in charge of a site’s SEO will require cooperation and understanding from employees throughout the company. And yet, while top-notch training and educational opportunities are a must for beginners, they’re just as important for experienced search engine optimization professionals.

Ask any veteran SEO and they’ll tell you: SEO education isn’t just for beginners.

Here at the BCI office, employees take five days of standard and advanced training annually. Even though most of us eat, breathe and sleep SEO daily, the industry is an evolving one, and as the industry grows, so grows the course.

Every year attendees take part in a new and improved program — a fact that’s appreciated by returning students who attend our SEO training course every few years to brush up on current white hat methodology, renew their certification credentials, and learn about the latest changes to ranking factors and spam definitions. When your target is as slippery as search engine rankings, when search engines adjust their algorithms without warning, when your tactic is considered white hat today and some murky shade of gray the next, how can you afford to let your learning go stagnant?

At the beginning of the year, Bruce predicted an increase in the number search engine optimization training courses that will be available as companies start clamoring to board the Internet marketing bandwagon and get caught up on what this whole search marketing thing is all about. Highly regarded educational forums, like training, conferences and networking events, are a lifeline to industry thought leadership and the healthy tactical debates that inevitably occur at such gatherings. Those who continually seek quality education will reach new levels of search engine visibility, site traffic, and, if all goes well, conversion rates.

… So what are you waiting for?
