SEM Synergy Launches Next Wednesday
The Bruce Clay crew has been hard at work the past few months preparing to launch a WebmasterRadio show. I guess you could say it’s kind of been my pet project since I joined the BC fold. Hired as a writer and quickly entrusted with directing a radio show, I’ve been both terrified and excited along the way.
I’ve learned a lot since I started recruiting guests, coming up with topics, coordinating schedules and the like. For instance, always do a sound check before recording an interview. Also, no one likes having to do the same interview twice after the recording equipment (which may or may not have been tested beforehand) fails. Oh, these little life lessons — why do I foresee so many more coming my way?
For what it’s worth, I think the final product will be something you’ll enjoy. For your listening pleasure, starting next week SEM Synergy will be broadcast on Webmaster Radio at noon PST each and every Wednesday. Bruce is the main host of this bad boy, with Susan and Robert Esparza as his witty sidekick and straight man, respectively.
The show will focus on the synergy between all the various aspects of Digital marketing. Does your SEO campaign compliment your PPC campaign? Does your site design enhance your branding efforts? You see where we’re going with this. Online marketing is a multi-faceted project and every aspect can be exponentially more effective if it works with the others. Through the course of the show we’ll try to explain how to make a multi-dimensional campaign work for you.
As for next Wednesday, we’ll kick of the first show with some basic intro on what the show will offer, check out some of the ad:tech sessions that will be going on next week, and finish up with a look at the headlines of the day. From there the show only gets better as the introductory housekeeping is out of the way.
How much better? First off, Bruce will be answering your questions, which can be submitted to semsynergy at bruceclay dot com. And of course, expert guests are sure to be one of the most insightful parts of the show. Don’t be surprised if you hear from Lisa, Susan or me with a kind request to be our guest. After only a few months as a wallflower it’s clear that the SEM community is made up of a lot of talented teachers and generous sharers (that’s a word, right?).
With most of the kinks already out of the process, guests won’t need to worry about my incompetent recording skills (I hope). Professional sound techs are now in charge — thanks WMR! My thanks is also owed to Jim Sterne, Ryan Freeman, Adam Audette and anyone else I accidentally tortured while learning the ropes!
