SEO Advice in Your CMS!

What if SEO was never an afterthought? What if search engine optimization best practices could be easily considered as site content is created through a CMS? Now they can be, through an exciting new partnership between SEO-friendly CMS Pixelsilk and Bruce Clay, Inc.’s SEOToolSet diagnostic tools. [Warning: Shameless excitement below.]

“The real problem that SEO has had is that it is always bolted on after somebody has written the content in a CMS. The Pixelsilk-SEOToolSet integration provides a way to correct SEO issues at the point of content creation, and to have it be done by the original author.” –Bruce Clay

It’s called Search Advice and it’s available in Pixelsilk now. Bruce and the Pixelsilk crew will be demonstrating the tools at Search Engine Strategies next week. You can check it out in the expo hall, booth 106.

You may already be familiar with Pixelsilk, a Web-based content management system with the flexibility and control ideal for search engine optimization. Pixelsilk offers fully customizable HTML code, an open framework structure and, now through SEOToolSet integration, real-time SEO feedback.

The SEOToolSet is known for providing valuable diagnostic data, optimization guidelines and on-page content analysis. In Pixelsilk, subscribers to the SEOToolSet can assign keywords to specific pages so when they’re editing or creating pages, SEO advice pops up right in the CMS editor. On-screen alerts and emails can be set to notify the production staff of changes to a page or when content edits don’t comply with SEOToolSet recommendations. Search Advice is an easy and convenient way to incorporate search engine optimization best practices into every aspect on a site.

Pixelsilk has also just announced a new capability that lets users manage multiple sites from a single account. The Pixelsilk Partner Portal offers a single location to manage and develop multiple sites. Web developers are able to apply previous work — like design themes, page types, CSS, JavaScript or any system file — to client sites with just the check of a box.

When Pixelsilk was first launched earlier this year, it made a splash for being one of the most search-friendly and customizable content management systems available. Now with Partner Portal’s multi-site access and Search Advice’s real-time SEO recommendations integrated with the SEOToolSet, the Pixelsilk CMS is supped up and more ready than ever to go to work for you and your search marketing crew. I know I’m partial, but what more could you want from a CMS?
