So even if you do not submit your site to Google\u200b and Bing directly, the search engines will most likely find it.<\/p>\n<p> It&#8217;s more important to make sure the spiders can find all the pages within your site once they arrive (which is why the next tutorial lessons explain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bruceclay.com\/jp\/\/seo\/create-sitemap\/\">creating an XML Sitemap<\/a> as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bruceclay.com\/jp\/\/seo\/technical-seo-tips\/\">technical SEO tips<\/a> to keep your site running fast). Still, there are times when manually submitting your content to a search engine can help.<\/p>\n<p>Directly submitting your site to search engines is a good idea in certain cases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Brand new site:<\/strong>&nbsp;If you are launching a new website or subdomain, submitting the URLs in bulk&nbsp;directly might get the \u200bnew pages crawled and indexed sooner.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Updated page:<\/strong>&nbsp;If you substantially change a page, submit the URL rather than waiting for the search engine spiders\u2019 next scheduled visit (which could take up to six weeks, depending on the site).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Incomplete indexing:<\/strong>&nbsp;If you have web pages that for some reason have never made it into the search engine index, you can submit the specific page URLs. (TIP: To see if a web page exists in the index, do an <em>exact match search:<\/em>&nbsp;copy a long text snippet from your page and search for it within quotation marks. If the results include your page, it&#8217;s indexed.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Before you submit a site, it&#8217;s a good time to check on its &#8220;crawl-ability.&#8221; Use the free <strong>Check Server Page<\/strong> tool below to detect any redirects (a 301 is OK, but other types are <a title=\"Using Redirects\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bruceclay.com\/seo\/advanced\/usingredirects\/\">not recommended<\/a>) and any technical issues that may prevent your site from appearing in search results.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"checkserver\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>SEO Tools \u2013 Check Server Page<\/h3>\n<div class=\"free-tools\">\n<form id=\"checkHeaderForm\" action=\"#\">\n        <input id=\"chBox\" type=\"url\" placeholder=\"Enter your URL\" \/><br \/>\n        <input id=\"chButton\" type=\"button\" value=\"Check Response Headers\" \/><br \/>\n    <\/form>\n<div id=\"chInfoDiv\">\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"auto\" style=\"margin: 5px; width: 122px; height: 41px; float: right;\" alt=\"Google logo\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/googlelogo_color_122px.png\" \/>How to Submit a Site to Google<\/h2>\n<p>Follow these instructions to submit a site to Google \u2014 either a single page or the content of your whole website \u2014 for index consideration.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>On the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/webmasters\/tools\/home?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\">Google Search Console<\/a> home page, click the website you want to submit. (You need to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bruceclay.com\/jp\/\/blog\/set-up-google-search-console\/\" target=\"_blank\">set up Google Search Console<\/a>, formerly known as Google Webmaster Tools, for your website.)<\/li>\n<li>From the GSC Dashboard, choose <strong>Fetch as Google<\/strong> from the Crawl menu.<\/li>\n<li>Type the URL of the web page you want Google to crawl (or leave blank to crawl the home page).<\/li>\n<li>With <em>Web<\/em> selected in the drop-down, click <strong>Fetch<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>When you see the status <em>Success<\/em>, click <strong>Submit to Index<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Choose to submit either the single URL or the URL plus all pages linked from it, and click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"auto\" style=\"margin: 5px; width: 126px; height: 50px; float: right;\" alt=\"Bing logo\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Bing-logo-126.jpg\" \/>How to Submit a Site to Bing (and Yahoo)<\/h2>\n<p>When you submit your site to Bing, you also submit the site to Yahoo automatically, since Bing feeds Yahoo\u2019s web search index. Read on for how to submit a site to Bing.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a Bing Webmaster Tools account set up, you can use its <strong>Submit URLs<\/strong> feature in the Configure My Site section to submit your site to Bing.
