Following on their mission to develop and promote technologies for the Web, the W3C provides tutorials on accessibility, HTML, Internationalization, CSS, P3P and many other technologies associated with web design. W3C Team members give tutorials and courses from time to time.

JavaScript Tutorial

Learn JavaScript with this step-by-step JavaScript tutorial. The course shows users how the specific browsers recognize JavaScript, details the way it works and gives them some programming basics. JavaScript is relatively easy to use and learn because there are a great many examples on the web and you don’t have to be a programmer or have a background in programming to learn it. It’s easy to implement because you just embed it into your HTML code and it can add more functionality to your site by making it more interactive. Three common uses of JavaScript code are pop-up windows, form validation, and changing the look of an image as the mouse cursor moves over it.
