SEO Post-Turkey-Coma Update

While the Americans succumbed to a holiday weekend, the world moved on without us. Let’s catch up on the last four days so we can start December off right.

Bruce sat down with WebProNews at PubCon for a 26 minute interview. Here’s a snippet from that where he discusses why likes are the new links. You can read more of Bruce’s thoughts in this month’s SEO Newsletter.

Google may be trying to slip Groupon under their Christmas tree but no one is confirming or denying.

The New York Times produced a long article on how Google’s letting us down: A Bully Finds a Pulpit on the Web. Danny gives the highlights reel and digs into the underlying SEO issues at the same time. The man is good.

Dave Naylor explains in small words why the Internet needs SEO.

Augie Ray has eight things he’s sick of in social media. I’m sick of all of them except number four because I am number four, though not in a James Frey kind of way.  (Seriously though, number 6 is my favorite because he goes for the Smeagol/Gollum reference.)

Virginia asked her search marketing pals what they want for Christmas. I’m apparently the only person who wished for the power to hurt others. [hangs head]

This isn’t search related but it’s my blog post. Today is Vin Scully’s birthday. Even when the Dodgers make it hard to be a fan, Vin makes it all worthwhile. Happy birthday, Mr. Scully, and thanks.

That’s what was, so what’s next? Look into your crystal balls and tell me what December will hold.
