This SEO software product is available on a subscription basis only, and is priced per calendar quarter per site (domain) as www.domain.com. Each domain may have many pages, but each domain is a separate site in this system. Additional sites may be added and managed.

Step 1: Research your Site and Competition

Competition Ranking Report - View the Ranking Report (for each competitor, a table of this-site-ranked-keywords (rows) by Search Engines (columns)) for the last Monitor ranking extraction.

Research Summary - This program is designed to query the major search engines and produce a report of the ranking of various pages. Specify your research keywords and the top results are reported for each engine, combined and sorted by what pages appear most often. The output from this search engine optimization tool may be analyzed in the Keyword Density Analyzer tool via a provided link.

Engine Specific Research - This SEO tool will produce a report for the top sites for your keywords for a single (specified) search engine. You may then select the sites that you wish to be automatically analyzed in our Keyword Density Analyzer tool. Once you have the keyword density and popular words for the top pages, you can match them on your own pages.

Check Server Page Status - performs several different page requests and compares the returned error codes and content. This report detects issues where your server may make corrections to a page address that tell the search engines there is an error even when there is not.

Keyword Selection Tool - extracts keywords actually appearing on your page and recommends high-traffic phrases that you might want to use.

Step 2: Keyword Density Analyzer

Keyword Density Analyzer - View a thorough analysis of your web pages. This report shows frequency, density, and where-used information for single words and phrases. This tool will list the top keywords plus all words used in your META tags. This report presents the density for each word in the various categories: META TITLE, META Description, META Keywords, ALT Tags, Comments, Heading Levels, and two categories for Body copy. Following our specified methodology, you would review these reports and web pages to see what you need to change or add to your pages.

Keyword Density Analyzer (compare 2 pages) - View a thorough analysis of two web pages for a single phrase. This report shows frequency and density for single words and phrases as used in each selected web page.

Keyword Density Analyzer (site review) - View a thorough analysis of the Optimized Website Pages for your keywords. This report shows frequency and density for single words and phrases as used in each Optimized web page.

Step 3: Website Submission

Search Engine Submission Recommendations - This program produces a report for each web page in your site that is listed for any of your keywords retaining the best ranking page for ANY keywords for each search engine. These search engine optimization tools are designed to show where the pages are NOT ranked in any positions for any keywords, thus the pages are viable candidates for submission. Each submission opportunity has an included link.

Search Engine Add Page - This page will point you to the major search engines add pages whenever you want to submit. Hand submission is still the best, and this is where to do it.

Search Engine Ranking Monitor - This program is designed to query the major search engines and produce reports concerning the ranking of various pages from your site. Specify your site URL and any of your pages appearing in the top positions are reported for each engine. The output from this tool may be analyzed in the Ranking Reports.

Monitoring Search engine rankings

An obvious fact about Search Engine Optimization is that at some point you will need to determine where you are ranked among the search engines. Before you begin optimization, you'll want to establish a baseline for your site and after your pages have been edited, you will need to monitor changes. However, even if you only have 20 keywords (and no one has only 20 keywords) and you only are monitoring the top 3 engines, you still have a great deal of work ahead of you. This tends to be time-intensive and very boring unless you have recently jumped higher in your rankings. Few free SEO tools are available to make this task easier.

The process involves performing singular keyword/ keyword phrase searches through a search engine and then finding where your site ranks. This process is repeated for as many keyword/ keyword phrases as you are keeping track of. This is compounded by the number of search engines you are keeping track of.

If you are starting to think that this is a daunting task, you are right. This is where automated tools come in very, very handy. One of the search engine optimization tools we use here at Bruce Clay, Inc. is the Search Engine Ranking Monitor. On your command, this tool goes out and repeats this iterative process for all of your keyword/ keyword phrases. The monitor then records and reports its findings for 14 of the top search engines.

Our tool automatically pulls your assigned keywords from the SEOToolSet® and runs until completion. This is similar to other tools such as WebPosition4. While there are many other very useful SEO software tools out there, Bruce Clay's Search Engine Ranking Monitor makes this task just that much easier on you. By incorporating this tool with many of the other SEO tools available on SEOToolSet®, you are able to click on the Run Monitor button at any time after your initial set-up and simply walk away. The monitor will run through all of your assigned keywords until it is done. This process can take quite a long time if you have many keywords to monitor.

Why does it take so long? Unlike many automated tools that send several queries every second, we have chosen to not burden the search engines with too many requests at once. Instead we make a request for information and then pause before requesting the next piece of information. It allows them to maintain a better level of performance. This is part of being a good web citizen by not using too much of the search engines' time with an abundance of queries.

Step 5: Report and Analyze your Search Engine Results

Domain Ranking Report - View the Ranking Report for the last Monitor ranking extraction. This program produces a cross-tabulation table (Keywords (rows) by Search Engines (columns)) of the best ranking for each keyword phrase specified for each search engine for the domain specified (i.e., best page rank for bruceclay.com).

Ranking Report by Page Name - View the Ranking Report (for each Page Name, a table of this-page-ranked-keywords (rows) by Search Engines (columns)) for the last Monitor ranking extraction.

Ranking Report by Keyword - View the Ranking Report (for each Keyword, a table of ranked page names (rows) by Search Engines (columns)) for the last Monitor ranking extraction.

Ranking Report History - View a history recap of the prior recorded Ranking Reports. This report provides the percentages in the Top-10, Top-20, Top-30, Top-40, and Top-50 positions found at the bottom of the Rank Report for the last 18 monitor runs.

Step 6: Develop a Multi-purpose Links List

Link Analysis Tool - This SEO software program produces a report of the links to the specified site as reported by the major search engines. Use this to validate links to your site, as well as to see who is linking to your competition and thus might be great candidates to link to your site. Simply put in the competitors web site, and investigate the links that are found.

Certainly the promotion of your site justifies a dollar or so per day!
