Developing Great Content — SES San Francisco

ses san francisco logo

This will be my third and final session of liveblogging for SES SF. I’ll leave the hard work to others. This will be fun – four speakers!

Moderator:
Greg Jarboe, President & Co-Founder, SEO-PR

Speakers:
Wendi Sturgis, VP, N. America BD and Partnership Group, Yahoo!
Heather Lloyd-Martin, CEO, SuccessWorks
Rand Fishkin, CEO, SEOmoz.org
Michael DeHaven, SEO Product Manager, Bazaarvoice

Wendi is up first! Leveraging great content: what we’re seeing in the industry, creating content is a huge challenge. How many of you have heard of content farms? (Lots of hands.)

We need to create compelling experiences for users – great content is crucial to that. We just announced to our partners that we’re going live with a beta and I’ll share that with you today.

Content Marketing Optimization — SES San Francisco

Awesome – got my first article off to Virginia and Susan 30 seconds after that session ended. Probably means there are sixty issues they have to fix. But that’s life because I had to immediately run next door for my next session! This one could go really well or really bad, because there’s just one speaker, and while it’s Lee Odden, I’ve not yet heard him at a conference, so if he’s a RAPID-FIRE speaker like Shari just was, I’m screwed…

Intro by: Heather Lloyd-Martin, CEO, SuccessWorks

Solo presenter: Lee Odden, SES Advisory Board & CEO, TopRank Online Marketing

And here we go! Heather says Lee Odden is definitely the master when it comes to content marketing… Lee’s up! {insert company promo pitch here} :-) yeah, I like to do that, because you can click on his link and learn for yourselves…

SEO: Successful Information Architecture — SES San Francisco

Okay so this morning I live-tweeted the hilarity and the awesomeness by @jeffreyhayzlett while Susan covered the liveblogging of Jeffrey’s keynote. I’ll only be liveblogging a few sessions here and this is one of them.

Of course, the 1st session I chose to liveblog is on Information Architecture. Because I’m an I.A. nut. :-) And this one should be killer!

Moderator:
Bill Hunt, Founder/President Backazimuth

Speakers:
Shari Thurow, Founder & SEO Director, Omni Marketing Interactive
Eleanor Hong, Lead Editor, SEO, ABCNews.com

Here we go!

Internet Marketing Business Track: Demystifying Online Attribution

SMX

This is going to be a great session because not only do I get to liveblog, but I went to the restroom BEFORE the session this time – live and learn right?

No – seriously I’m looking forward to this session because I’ve recently been heavily involved in consulting for an agency client on the issues site owners face in proper online attribution. So I’m hoping that not only will I be able to provide a quality liveblog record of the session, but that I might even learn a thing or two along the way myself.

Internet Marketing Business Track: Opening the Contract Kimono: Translating Your Pricing Model to Legal Agreement

SMX

OK so here I am, at SMX Advanced, in Seattle. I wasn’t expecting to be liveblogging, yet that’s exactly what I’m doing for this first morning session.

Warning – I have never liveblogged at a conference before. In fact, I expect I’ll fail miserably at this. So we’ll pretend it’s the effort that counts, not the results, okay boys and girls?
